JBC hosts free legal advice for Olim

There’s a Workshop coming up on Sunday 29 April which will greatly interest anyone who is setting up or expanding a business — or who has been hired by such an enterprise. It’s called Employee Rights & Employer Obligations In Jerusalem.

The programme runs from 10am sharp till 11.30am and the location is JBC’s headquarters at 24 Hilel St – 5th Floor – Jerusalem. Admission is free, but it would be appreciated if you could email the Voleh Organization’s founder and director Tzvi Szajnbrum at szajnbrum@gmail.com to say you’re planning to attend since space is limited.

The Workshop covers the following topics:

  • Agenda
  • You’ve received a job offer – what now?
  • The art of salary negotiations
  • Expectations from your employer
  • What employees are entitled to by law (Part I)
  • Panel – question and answers
  • What employees are entitled to by law (Part II)
  • Your employer is experiencing troubled time; what you should and should not do.
  • Your employer has gone bankrupt – what now?
  • Employee rights after being fired
  • Panel – question and answers

It’s well worth also taking a look at the Voleh.org website for further information.
